Cómo Diagnosticar
Soluciones Comunes
**Replace the Output Speed Sensor (OSS):** This is the most common solution. If the sensor fails the functionality test or shows signs of physical damage, replacing it with a quality OEM or reputable aftermarket part will often resolve the P0722 code.
**Repair or Replace Damaged Wiring/Connector:** Inspect and repair any frayed, corroded, or broken wires in the OSS circuit. If the electrical connector itself is compromised (e.g., bent pins, excessive corrosion, or a poor seal), replace the connector pigtail to ensure a solid connection.
**Clean Connector Pins:** Sometimes, simply disconnecting the OSS connector, thoroughly cleaning the pins with electrical contact cleaner, and then reconnecting it can restore proper signal transmission, especially in vehicles exposed to moisture, dirt, or road salt.
**Address Internal Transmission Tone Ring Damage:** In rare cases, if the sensor and wiring are confirmed good, the issue lies with a damaged or obstructed tone ring on the transmission's output shaft. This requires transmission removal and partial disassembly to repair or replace the tone ring, which is a more involved and costly repair.
