Cómo Diagnosticar
Soluciones Comunes
Replace the Output Speed Sensor (OSS): The most frequent solution is replacing a faulty or intermittently failing OSS. This is often a straightforward repair, as the sensor is typically externally mounted on the transmission.
Repair or Replace Damaged Wiring and/or Connector: If the diagnostic steps reveal damaged, chafed, or corroded wiring, or a faulty electrical connector, these components must be repaired or replaced to restore proper circuit integrity.
Clean Debris from Sensor Tip and Tone Ring: Accumulation of metallic particles on the magnetic tip of the OSS or on the tone ring itself can cause intermittent signal issues. Cleaning these components can often resolve the P0724 code.
Repair or Replace Damaged Tone Ring/Reluctor Wheel: In cases where the tone ring on the transmission output shaft is physically damaged (e.g., bent or missing teeth), it will need to be repaired or replaced. This is a more involved repair, often requiring significant transmission disassembly.
