Proper adjustment ensures the TRS aligns with the actual transmission gear position.
**Repair or Replace Damaged Wiring and Connectors:** Corrosion, chafed wires, or loose/damaged pins within the TRS circuit can lead to signal integrity issues. Repairing or replacing the affected sections of the wiring harness or the connector itself will restore proper communication.
**Clean Corrosion from Sensor Terminals and Connectors:** Oxidation on the electrical terminals of the TRS or its connector can impede proper signal transmission. Thoroughly cleaning these contacts with an appropriate electrical contact cleaner can often resolve intermittent performance issues.
